Cowgirl Gives E-tailer Haute New Look

ecommerce website designIn 2009, Haute Body approached Cowgirl with goals of creating a dynamic, high-end E-Commerce boutique - on a budget. In just a few short months, Cowgirl’s experts in e-commerce web design & development were able to make Haute Body’s dreams a reality.

To create the high-end experience that Haute Body was looking for, Cowgirl created a 1930’s vintage inspired boutique-style web design. This E-Commerce website design was then integrated into Magento, a highly customizable open source E-Commerce platform. By integrating the design into this open source solution, Cowgirl’s E-Commerce web design & development team was able to deliver a seemingly totally custom solution, at the fraction of the cost of its e-commerce counterparts.

In addition to the customized E-Commerce platform, Cowgirl also integrated other high-end functionality: international capabilities, runway-style videos, and a customer loyalty system. This level of functionality is in less than 1% of e-tail sites, but the addition of these site enhancements supported the high-end, fitness fashionista clientele of Haute Body.

As is the case with all Cowgirl E-Commerce website design projects, Haute Body was provided with a total online solution. At launch, the site was already optimized for search engines, had traffic drivers pushing to the site, social media followers, a custom e-mail newsletter program, and solid Google results.

Head Cowgirl Ropes in Search Traffic

ecommerce web designWhen Restoration Hardware, a chain of upscale furniture stores, first turned to Leslie Hahn, president of Dallas SEO firm Cowgirl Interactive, they were already managing a search marketing program in house. The program just wasn’t delivering the results it should have been. Their conversions were low, and they weren’t being found   for the big-money terms in search engines.

Over the course of just a few months, Hahn, a Dallas interactive marketing expert, changed all that.

She found that RestorationHardware.com required some immediate changes. Search engine spiders were having a hard time crawling – scanning content – its pages, and much of their time was being spent on unimportant and non-essential pages. These simple changes spurred a 40-percent growth in organic search visitors over paid search visitors. 

In just four short months after implementing changes recommended by Hahn,   RestorationHardware.com also saw  a staggering 256-percent increase in conversions for   non-branded terms. For example, instead of being found for  “Restoration Hardware    chair” they were being found for “recliner chair.”

According to Feather Hickox, E-Commerce manager for Restoration Hardware, Hahn’s astounding results helped the company both increase sales and better manage their marketing dollars.

“This relationship ensures that we are driving qualified traffic to our Web site,” Hickox said, “increasing online sales and spending our marketing dollars effectively."

Web Augmentation for Mercy

Mercy Medical Group Plastic Surgery Center, part of the Catholic Health West healthcare system in California, provides comprehensive cosmetic surgeries and services to citizens of the greater San Francisco area. From liposuction and breast augmentation to laser resurfacing of the skin and chemical peels, the Mercy Medical Group Plastic Surgery Center is all about beautification.

Unfortunately, up until about a year ago, their website didn’t read “beautiful” at all. Outdated, poorly functioning and just all-around not up to snuff, Mercy’s web presence just wasn’t delivering. E-business on the Catwalk

Cowgirl Interactive completed an engagement in September 2008 which brought couture to the masses.

Cowgirl Interactive launched the first E-Commerce site for one of the worlds largest fashion retailers - BCBG. This not only included the site itself, but also organizational creation and support of an entirely new business unit within the fashion house. All accompanying launch marketing was also completed, including email marketing, paid search marketing, and search engine optimization.

BCBG's E-Commerce business unit not only outpaced the rest of the organization, but became the #1 revenue producing door of the entire 3000-store chain in less than four months. Growth rate eclipsed at 800% month-over-month.

And while this business adventure was incredibly successful, the joy of this project was really bringing Couture online for anyone, anywhere.
